In August 2007, Moe’s Southwest Grill, a Raving Brands concept was sold to
FOCUS Brands, the franchisor and operator
of over 2,100 ice cream stores, bakeries, restaurants,
and cafes in the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and 32 foreign
countries under the brand names Carvel®, Cinnabon®, Schlotzsky’s®, Seattle’s Best
Coffee® on military bases and in certain international markets and now Moe’s Southwest
Grill®.
Moe’s was founded in 2000 and opened its first location in Atlanta, GA. During its
7 years as the flagship brand in the Raving Brands portfolio of concepts, Moe’s
experienced proof of concept, grew to over 350 franchise locations and was Nation’s
Restaurant News’ 2004 Hot Concept of the Year.
